Rain, rain, rain. . .

It's damp, it's wet outside, but Jonathan and I are happily inside getting ready for the day. At the moment, I am at the computer typing, while Jon is sitting inside his workbench. The workbench is the type that you can take the top off and there's a little bay for all of the tools and knobs that come with the bench. Pretty cool, but Jon seems to be under the impression that it is a car (vroom!) and treats it as such.

Other improvements over the week has been the word 'Hi' as opposed to the past attempt of "Haaaaaa. . . ", and the confiscation of my phone in order to encourage him. How this encourages him to do anything else but (a) destroy my phone and (b) beat inanimate objects with a once-operational item is beyond me. But such is life. Dancing has also become a fun thing to do, equating any type of music with Jonathan pronouncing "Daaa!" and swaying and bobbing about. "Aaahhs" are also vital to such movement, seeing as he has two of them, they are useful for pointing at things and cramming said item into his mouth.

And now we are dancing inside the car. Excellent.

Off to swap diapers and get ready for the day. 'Till then, check out the updated site! I'll include much more later on, but for now check out what I have and let me know what you think!

The Sunday Status!

One more week has gone by and one more week where I have been way too busy to blog anything.

I know that this completely defeats the purpose of a weblog. But then Jonathan and I got to thinking over a handful of Cheerios and a sippy-cup of milk - why not just blog on Sundays? That way, it could be a "Jon and Shaun" weblog where we could write our thoughts after the hangover begins to wear off. We like the idea, so from now on, we'll just report on our status on Sundays. Call it the "Sunday Status" or something (in the tradition of the Friday Five).

In the spirit of such, Jon has been sick most of the week with whatever Missy and I have been passing around to eachother the past month or so. As a result, Jon hasn't been his normal self, although dancing and other entropic enterprises have still been the M.O. I am still in the process of rebuilding our fledgling GOP in Fredericksburg, and we seem to be off to a good start.

Otherwise, all is well. Jon is on my lap right now giving me tips on what to write and such. Actually, he's just staring into the computer screen enjoying the MP3's that we can't play when mommy is at home (House of Pain, Dropkick Murphys and such). We rock - and you know it.

I know that a few weeks ago when I first setup this weblog, my brother ragged on me a bit because I did't update it regularly. Sure, I thought to my self, I'll keep it up. Many days later I have three or so posts and no consistency. I'll do better. . .

In any event, nothing much going on this Sunday morning. Jon and I are quietly eating whatever we can find around the house (cold pizza, beer, chips, whatever us MEN can eat). Of course, we do have to get ready for church, so bathing will have to enter the plan at some point. As for right now, I'll be content with just scrounging around the house and enjoying a morning with my boy.

You can't handle the update.

Easter went well, no I never posted the Friday Five (last week or this week), and yes this will become a bit more professional in the future. But in the meantime, I have to compose the updates, transfer my papers to HTML (believe me it's harder than you think), and look out of the corner of my eye at my wife peering over my shoulder.

And bite her. Excuse me. . .
