Thursday, April 10, 2003House Passes Gun Lawsuit Immunity Bill Now here is one I missed. For those of you who are scratching your heads on this one, the logic stems from the massive lawsuits stemming from the tobacco industry being sued by people not intelligent enought to realize that putting stuff like nicotine and tar into your body just may cause an unkind reaction. The same lack of intelligence can be extended towards those who lack respect for firearms, hot cups of coffee, etc.: WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A bill giving gun manufacturers and dealers broad protection from civil lawsuits arising from the misuse of firearms easily passed the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday.
