OMT: Wailing and Gnashing of Teeth
Norman over at OMT brings it home:I've some rather dark thoughts as to why that may have happened (could they even be Black? Yes.). Another is that there just may be a reason the Stonewall Jackson statue on Richmond's Monument Avenue faces north.
I'll leave the hand-wringing to others, but I'll also say this:
If the GOP loses its legislative majorities in the near future, that may not necessarily be a bad thing. Defeat can be a healthy thing -- purgative and clarifying. Agreed.
Until we answer the question "Quo vadis?", why pray tell are we so obsessed with a majority?
