Monday, December 18, 2006 I want the jersey The Vatican (yes that Vatican) is mulling over the idea of forming it's own soccer team. Why do you think that soccer is communist? Soccer teams in Europe are run under a far stricter capitalist system than, say, the NFL. Every year the lowest ranked teams get dumped out of the league into the lower levels, lose TV rights, and may have to sell contracts to stay solvent. If you win, you get bumped to a bigger league with bigger audiences. In contrast, the NFL forces the best teams to subsidize the worst, caps salaries, and has a ridiculous draft that interferes with the free market in labor. At 5:59 PM, Shaun Kenney said...
