The truly sad part of the Pearl Harbor attack is that our own spiffy new-fangled radar installation saw it coming and the folks in charge shrugged it off. Ouch. Imagine if they'd listened? The attackers would have gotten one heck of a surprise themselves. Also, there might not be an Arizona Memorial. Hell of a way for a noble fighting vessel to end - sunk in it's own harbor with significant portion of its crew on board. Brutal.
