The Virginia Progressive Says...

If you're straight, you hate babies with AIDS, or at least are not willing to adpot babies testing HIV-positive.

Gay couples on the other hand love these babies, but sadly cannot adopt these unwanted children because of the hate-filled hearts of Virginia voters passing the Marriage Amendment this November.

I kid you not. Read the post. This is what passes for intelligence in some circles.

Not in the slightest... but boy does it disappoint.

Why do you read the other side? Are you trying to see the daily re-set of the left goal post? Or, are you looking for a laugh or what?

I just watch NBC every now and then or look at my Daily Press and badda-bing I'm updated on the Left.

Mostly so I don't get blindsided, sometimes because they have something intelligent to say, and sometimes because I go looking to pick a fight.

:)

Mostly to see what's on their mind. It's a similar handle to why Dems come here and read what I have to say, I suppose.

Shaun, glad you are up for the fight.

But, c'mon - something intelligent to say?

Intelligent, educated, knowledgeable, wisdom, bright, witty, intellectual are all different words.

If you ever find anything intelligent, please share.

Nothing surprises me about the Left any more. Just when I think they've reset the watermark for liberalism, they move it again.

I try to stop by RK some just because I'm looking to pick a fight as well. Some days more so than others. At any rate, keep up the great work Shaun, always love reading your posts.

There are over six billion people on this planet and millions of orphaned children.

What religious belief would support natural birth over adoption in this case?

What religious belief would prevent the adoption of any of these children by qualified parents (heterosexual or homosexual)?

I do not understand the motivation of those who would support reproducing themselves, and thus passing on their genes in this age and time, and also precluding the adoption of orphans by rigorously screened gay couples. This seems contradictory to rational common sense and to any sense of compassion and kindness.

It essentially says that one chooses to have intercourse with one’s spouse with the intention of passing on one’s genes rather than choosing to adopt an orphan who thus will never have the opportunity of being raised in a loving, caring, and nourishing family environment. I can not imagine how one could stand before one's God and justify this – much less justify that going further they adamantly stood in the way of this orphan being adopted by qualified and screened parents who happen to be gay.

Perhaps someone who is opposed to adoption by gays could enlighten me.

You're moving the goalposts, Bill.

I want to know why certain people believe heterosexuals hate HIV-positive orphans, and why they feel this is an argument for gay marriage.

Do you believe heterosexuals hate babies that test positive for HIV?
