Thursday, January 11, 2007 Beckham to LA This should be huge for soccer in the United States, but I'm sure footballers from Europe are going to love the culture shock when they discover soccer here is about as popular as NFL Europe is back in the Old World. I could care less if washed up David Beckham decided to come to the United States. If I don't care, I doubt many other people will. I have noticed this though. The vast majority of my high school and college aged friends are soccer addicts. Young people care about soccer. I predict that in 20 years, it'll take its place along the other major sports in America where it belongs. At 8:06 AM, Staff said... Hell yes on the rugby.
