As the price tag of Microsoft products continue to increase, the open-source solutions are becoming more and more attractive. When Civilization 4 comes out for Linux, I'll take the plunge. I have old games of Alpha Centauri for Linux, but unfortunately the game company that produced them did such a shoddy job of debugging them, they crash almost instantly. Damn shame too.
